There is no doubt that we all live in an interconnected world. We move from place to place faster and more often than at any time in history. Most travel statistics forecast that the world will continue to become more mobile. This creates enormous opportunities, but also presents some challenges; especially in terms of exposure risk to infectious diseases and safety and security threats.
We provide practical advice to travellers and keep them informed while they’re away to help them stay safe and healthy. We do this by continually monitoring worldwide information on disease outbreaks and safety threats. Our analysts review and evaluate each incident for risk to travellers, and then publish travel alerts in a concise and easy to understand language. By registering an itinerary with us, we will provide a traveller with a personalized travel package that provides helpful information on diseases, vaccinations, medications, and recent travel alerts to the countries of interest.

Who We Are
I spent 35 years in preventive medicine and public health before I retired in 2007 as Director General of Canada’s first Centre for Emergency Preparedness and Response. In my retirement, I’ve continued to work in the public health sector by consulting around the world and founding GHNN. I’ve been an avid bicyclist for 40 years and you’ll find me on the road in my spare time.
I have more than 25 years of international legal, business development and management experience. I provide strategic advice and counsel to various Advisory Boards and Boards of Directors of high tech companies. Weekends find me hard at play with my family at the cottage.
I have a Masters Degree in Engineering and heaps of experience in web application programming. I enjoy learning new things, fixing broken things, and working in small teams to produce things rapidly. When I’m not working on new ideas, you’ll find me outdoors, taking photos, travelling, or playing ice hockey.
